Shamoun is a 33.05 metre classic centerboard sloop, Hoek-designed and built in 1999 at Holland Jachtbouw.
Designed for both charter and family use, she can accommodate up to 9 guests in four equally sized guest cabins, all with en suites, and features a large open-plan saloon and galley. A classical layout characterises her flush deck, and the traditional deckhouse contains the navigation station as well as a dining area and mini bar. There is also a full entertainment system, including a screen and projector incorporated in the ceiling. Another handy detail is the hydraulic diving platform in the transom. The crew quarters, including a messroom, are completely separate from the guest quarters, to ensure your privacy.
Shamoun has a range under engine of 3,100 nautical miles, backups for all vital systems onboard, and a large three stage walk-in freezer and fridge, ideal for charter operations and prolonged crossings. The twin Scania DSI 9 44M engines are coupled with controllable pitch propellers and twin rudders.
Shamoun has been maintained in excellent shape and has an extraordinary charter record with many repeat guests. An extensive refit, including complete new rigging, was completed late 2008. She is fully MCA compliant.
