Boat International’s sister publication ShowBoats International hosts the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic’s Cavallino Classic Yacht Hop at the Rybovich Yacht Club in Palm Beach, an event that brings together 500 Ferrari Club owners and several very fine superyachts each year.
The Palm Beach Cavallino Classic is a six-day Ferrari cabaret built around key events including the two-day Florida Trophy race meeting at Palm Beach International Raceway, a tour through Palm Beach and along the Atlantic coastal roads for dozens of mouthwatering cars, a 150-car concours d’elegance on the immaculate sward of the Breakers Resort Hotel, and the Friday Yacht Hop at the Rybovich Yacht Club.
The 2011 Yacht Hop
The largest yacht taking part in the 2011 Hop was Feadship’s 48.77 metre Major Wager, closely followed by Westship’s 44.2 metre Fighting Irish. Then there was Trinity’s 42.98 metre Big City and Westport’s 39.62 metre Westport 130.
Merle Wood & Associates also had a presence, displaying the 29.26 metre VakoMaaNo built by New England Boatworks.
The Yacht Hop Cup is presented at the Yacht Hop for the most deserving Ferrari, as selected by participants, with the 2010 award going to the 212 Inter PF Coupe S/N 0263 EU.
The next event takes place 17-22 January 2012.
