SONG OF THE SEA
The hull is of single skin construction using glass/aramid hybrid fiber reinforced vinyl ester laminate with carbon fiber reinforcements. A high proportion of the fibers are unidirectional, giving a stiff laminate with excellent strength and fatigue properties. Structural bulkheads are foam cored plywood laminated to hull and deck. Stiffener flanges are unidirectional lay- ups over foam cores. Engine beds are of GRP with steel inserts. Topside colour is dark blue gel coat; boot top and cove stripe are white. Uncoloured gelcoat below waterline. Bottom is treated with three layers of epoxy primer, and antifouled with two layers of black International Micron CSC.
A 3.5 meter hydraulically operated folding passarelle is recessed on the starboard side of the dingy garage. It can be operated by remote control as well as control buttons on push pit.
Sleeps twelve in one owners, three guest and two crew cabins. There are six heads.
A great deal of effort was put into the interior design of this vessel, creating a yacht of timeless classic beauty and perfectly balanced proportions. Each room is a visual delight, an elegant blend of exotic
hardwoods with the finest silks, leathers and stone available.
The Owner’s cabin is aft with a centerline queen size bed, port and starboard settees over which are hull windows, a vanity/writing desk with file drawers, bookshelves, outboard lockers and hanging lockers. The vanity mirror is electrically operated and can be lowered to reveal a 42” Bang & Olufson TV
Ensuite head with stall shower is forward and to port. The head has hand chosen Azul Macaubas marble counter tops, steam shower, and Tecma Presige fresh water flush toilets.
There are two double guest cabins located just forward of the Owner’s stateroom. Both staterooms have two twin berths with a vanity/writing desk between them. There are two drawers under each berth and a movable stool for the desk. Both cabins have a full length hanging locker and an ensuite bathroom with Forest Green Italian marble in the starboard bathroom and Spring Rose ́ in the port. A third guest cabin is forward of the main saloon and has a single lower berth with a vanity/ writing desk inboard. There is an upper Pullman berth which totally folds away when not in use. There is an ensuite bathroom with Red Crystal marble counter tops and a small bathtub with a marble surround.
The raised salon is all on one level, designed so that a person of average height can look out the side windows while seated. There is custom stowage for china, stemware and silverware. There is a large C- shaped sofa to port with a full size with a rosewood dining table with seating for eight. Forward of the sofa are full engine controls, all of which can be hidden in a lifting cabinet.
To stbd. is an “L” shaped settee with a coffee. A retractable 42” Bang & Olufson TV is hooked up to a zone free DVD player, VCR and Bang & Olufson speakers. On the aft side of the settee is a full bar with Volga Blue granite counter tops and custom glass and bottle stowage.
