Launched in 1991, as the 92’ LEDA, WATERCOLOURS was a groundbreaking design by the late Gerhard Gilgenast and introduced Trinity Marine to the yachting world. After an aggressive cruising and charter schedule over many years, she was purchased by the Owners of Trinity in 2003, brought back to the shipyard, and enjoyed a major refit by the same craftsmen that built her, to engineering specifications by Trinity. Emerging from the refit shed with a new lazarette and cockpit extending her length to 115’, she also benefited from new Caterpillar 3412 main engines and was brought into ABS Class. Virtually every system was rebuilt or replaced, and the flybridge was extended an additional 12’ to create a massive sundeck, allowing for a more userfriendly aft deck.
Returning to the yard in 2006 for another refit, which included interior layout modifications and cosmetics, all machinery serviced, updated galley and a completely new crew’s quarters, she was purchased by the current Owner in 2007 and again returned to the builder shipyard. The current Owner purchase the yacht in 2007 and took her right back to the shipyard that very same year and then again, most recently, in 2015.
Under the current ownership the hull was painted grey, the interior was updated and a variety of mechanical upgrades were completed. In 2007 the galley and formal dining areas were removed and replaced with an open, forward facing country kitchen, with panoramic views. This serves as the social area for breakfast and both owner and charter guests watching the chef in action. This yacht offers spacious exterior deck spaces, usually found on much larger vessels, including an oversized aft deck with 2 dining tables, that can seat up to 16 guests. The fly bridge is double the size of most yachts of this length. These features have made WATERCOLOURS a very popular on the charter scene for many years.
