Gosling’s Rum becomes official America’s Cup partner

Gosling’s Rum has been named the Official Rum and Official Ginger Beer of the 35th America’s Cup. The partnership will see the drinks brand provide both support and beverages throughout the two-year-long Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series, as well as during the final races in Bermuda in 2017.

As the spirit traditionally favoured by legendary pirates and sailors throughout history, along with being a key ingredient in Bermuda’s national drink the Dark ‘n’ Stormy, no America’s Cup would be complete without rum. Four Gosling products – the Black Seal Rum, Gold Seal Rum, Stormy Ginger Beer and new Dark ‘n’ Stormy cocktail in a can – will be available at all America’s Cup events beginning in Portsmouth, UK in July.

A Bermudan institution, the company’s founder William Gosling fittingly arrived on the island by boat in 1806 and set up a spirits shop in Hamilton. Seven generations later the company is still going strong from the same store - which has become a must-visit for visitors.

When the decision was made to hold the 35th America's Cup race on our island, we knew we had to be a partner. This represents a great opportunity to show the world the best qualities of Bermuda.”

This announcement sees Gosling’s join a list of high profiles event and team partners including Louis Vuitton, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover and Bremont.
