Work is now well under way at New Zealand's Alloy Yachts on a new 47m flybridge motor yacht, AY43, scheduled for delivery in early 2012. The yard has joined up with Dubois Naval Architects and Donald Starkey Design to create a successor to Allogante, now Loretta Anne, which won the 2009 ISS Award for best 24-40m motor yacht.

"This is the third Alloy Yachts-built motor yacht our client has owned and we will again enjoy working with the owner to create a beautiful vessel which exceeds expectations." says the yard's Managing Director Tony Hambrook.

This superyacht's home port will be the Bahamas, hence her shallow draft of just 2.2 metres. Being built to Lloyds class, AY43 has four staterooms, an owner's suite, spa pool and gymnasium and will cruise at 14.5 knots.
