May has got off to a lively start with many interesting launches. This time it's the turn of Benetti to launch the first yacht in its new Classic Supreme 132 series.

The Classic Supreme 132 is a 40.2m composite trideck motor yacht designed by Stefano Righini. It follows the current philosophy of having extensive outside spaces, largely covered to create shade, and large openings in the hull and superstructure to bring natural light into the interior.

The owner opted for a contemporary, pared back style for the interior, which was designed by François Zuretti. A standard layout offers accommodation for 10 guests in five cabins including a full-beam master on the main deck, and four guest cabins on the lower deck - two doubles and two twins. For the crew of 7 there are crew quarters on the lower deck and a captain's cabin on the bridge deck. Also located on the bridge deck is a gymnasium.

Benetti's BEST technology platform (Benetti Exclusive Sea Technology) has been integrated into this first Classic Supreme 132 yacht, which is powered by twin 1,080kW MTU engines giving a top speed of 15.5 knots, a cruising speed of 14.4 knots and a range of 3,200 nautical miles at 12 knots.

This yacht is also the first to be built and outfitted in Lucca Dockyard, Benetti's new facility in Viareggio. She will now start sea trials in preparation for her delivery this summer.
