Superyacht project manager and technical consultant Dörries Maritime Services is set to embark upon its latest venture as it prepares the launch of its own yacht brand, Dörries Yachts, at the September 2013 Monaco Yacht Show.

A familiar name in the superyacht industry, Dörries Maritime Services aims to expand its offerings to produce a special edition range of yachts from 48m to 68m under a new brand in Germany. A source at Dörries confirms they have plans to build the new range and has secured its own building site in northern Germany.

This project expands on the company’s 85m superyacht platform, designed by H2 Yacht Design, which Dörries presented in July of this year. The first of its platforms to be ready, the 85m superyacht will be based upon elements used in the development of 82m motor yacht Graceful, reducing build time and engineering costs yet still allowing modifications and special requests to be made.

Developed in partnership with Blohm & Voss, Graceful will also be presented at the yacht show. Twin 2,300kW MTU engines power this impressive superyacht, giving a top speed of 18 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Also designed by H2 Yacht Design, it includes features such as an indoor pool with raising dance floor and a helipad on the upper deck.

The Monaco Yacht Show will see a showcase of the new Dörries Yacht brand, the 85m yacht platform, superyacht Graceful and more details released about Dörries Yachts new range of superyachts from 48 to 68m.
