Dobroserdov Design

Responsible for: exterior design, GA, tenders and exterior components

Sergei Dobroserdov recently launched Dynamiq Yachts at a press conference in Monaco. As part of the presentation, Dobroserdov introduced his Dynamiq ‘dream team' of world thinkers, yacht designers and naval architects that have turned the Dynamiq GTT concept – a new category of yacht that you can customise online with a unique configurator – into reality. That dream will soon be realised when the first Dynamiq D4 yacht, which is under construction at the NCA shipyard in Carrara, Italy is launched in the summer of 2016.

Dobroserdov Exterior Design

Dobroserdov Design was launched in Monaco in 2010 by Sergei Dobroserdov, with Ivan Babich as chief designer. The mission is to create stylish yachts that are fast and technically advanced vessels.

The Dynamiq brief includes includes exterior design, development of the general arrangement, design of tenders and all exterior components. Dobroserdov Design specialises in project management and is involved at all stages from development of the concept to the supervision of construction and launch of a yacht.

Azure Naval Architects

Responsible for: the hull

Azure Naval Architects is based in the heart of the Dutch yachting industry in Haarlem. The team has extensive experience in yacht design, naval architecture, engineering, supervision and support of new builds and refits.

The Dutch naval architects developed the hull of the GTT yachts in collaboration with Dynamiq. Onboard comfort has been put at the forefront of the GTT brief, and as result every yacht features smooth motion at sea and anchor thanks to the hull design.

Azure has won awards for its design, naval architecture and innovative marine solutions. Key players in the yacht building industry have praised its eye for detail and quest for perfection.

Van Oossanen

Responsible for: hull efficiency

Van Oossanen is a naval architect firm and world-renowned hydrodynamic specialist. With Dynamiq, they have helped to create yachts that feature a highly efficient shape with a vertical stem.

Van Oossanen has vast experience in the design of sail and motor yachts, commercial ships and advanced marine vehicles. One particular area of expertise is the field of ship hydrodynamics and performance.

Founded in 1992 by Dr Peter van Oossanen, the naval architect firm has designed a long list of sailing yachts and an even longer list of motor yachts, including recently launched Azamanta and Galactica Star. Its involvement in these projects varies from a total responsibility, from conceptual design to the engineering and building supervision, to being part of a design team in which provides the design of the hull and the appendages.

Bannenberg & Rowell

Responsible for: interior design

London-based Bannenberg & Rowell has realised the overall interior design of Dynamiq's yachts, featuring an elegant, contemporary base style. As befits the ethos of the project, as envisaged by Dobroserdov, materials and finishes can be customised by the client. There is also the option for a fully bespoke interior design from B&R for a fixed cost.

Accessories and fabrics are offered from the world’s top luxury brands and fashion houses, and the options list includes soft furnishings and fabrics from brands such as Hermès, Loro Piana and Armani Casa, plus THG bathroom fittings, Christofle cutlery, Baccarat glassware, Pratesi linen and towels, and even a unique atomiser system featuring scents from Aqua di Parma that can be distributed through the aircon system. The sweet smell of success.

Mr Smith

Responsible for: onboard entertainment systems

In this digital age of smart phones and tablets we have become accustomed to playing our favourite content anywhere and at any time we desire. Dutch company Mr Smith Consultancy offers an integrated system that allows users to play what they please – whether that's their latest film, favourite television show or preferred playlist on iTunes or Spotify – at the push of a button.

Apple technology combined with an elegant software application enables users to enjoy their personalised content as well as having access to the on-board media library. The Mr Smith system transforms life on board into a personalised environment allied to a reputation for flexibility, ease of use and affordability.

Wild Group

Responsible for: colourful hull wraps

The colourful hull wraps available on the Dynamiq range of yachts (pictured above) transform the conservative with colourful self-adhesive vinyl that is hard-wearing, durable and will not fade or go cloudy like paint or gelcoat.

By the Wild Group, these wraps are easy to clean, very easy to repair and protects boats from the elements, including damaging UV rays.

Wild Group prides itself that its skilled team can quickly and easily wrap a boat. It says the bigger the vessel the greater the saving over traditional paint options. Typically, a wrap will cost a third of the price of paint or gelcoat.

Rogier van der Heide

Responsible for: interior lighting

Dynamiq yachts are also equipped with the very latest technology, from the integrated bridge with 24-inch screens, full Apple-based guest control systems, high-end audio from Bowers & Wilkins. Guests can also control their environment using Dynamiq’s specially developed D-app. And there is Phillips’ hue© WiFi lighting for deck areas.

Rogier van der Heide is noted especially for his work in lighting design, and has worked on public and commercial projects all over the world.

Fortjes Pod Drive system

Responsible for: efficiency and comfort

The Dynamiq GTT is available in three base models of very manageable, optimum size: the 127ft (38.6m) D4 base model and S4 sport version, and the lengthened 132ft (40m) D4 L limousine version. The base model is equipped with MAN diesels and Fortjes pod drive propulsion to give a maximum speed of 21 knots, while the D4 S sport version features MTU engines and larger pods for a top speed of 25 knots.

The Fortjes propulsion system has been specially developed for use in yachts with engine ratings from 300 to 3,000 kW and offers optimal hydrodynamic properties. Its outstanding manoeuvrability and space-saving design are further highlights of the pod drive system developed by German company Reintjes.

Glyn Peter Machin

Responsible for: furniture

Glyn Peter Machin specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke furniture. The byword of the company, which has offices in Kolding, southern Denmark, Monaco and New York, is adventurous: creating designs that aspire to be different.

For the Dynamiq Yachts project, Glyn Peter Machin has created a bespoke range of furniture to give the yachts an air of individual luxury.

Many Glyn Peter Machin furniture designs are envisioned for exteriors, especially the sundecks of super yachts. However, almost all have a unique and appealing twist that can easily be transformed to grace an interior space. It says that this is where its custom expertise flourishes.

For the Dynamiq range, the class-leading, 120sq m (1,292 sq ft) sundeck has been carefully designed with five versatile zones: an aft sunbathing area, an alfresco dining area with optional home theatre, a bar and barbecue zone, a spa pool, and a forward sunbathing area that can also be specified as an optional exterior gym.
