First Benetti Delfino 95 in build as third hull is sold

The first hull in the Benetti Delfino 95 series is under construction, the Italian yard revealed after selling the third hull at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival.

Azimut-Benetti added that all three hulls of this Giorgio Cassetta-designed range are scheduled for a 2018 delivery.

The Benetti Delfino 95 is a 28.96 metre luxury yacht with a full displacement GRP hull. Interiors are courtesy of Achille Salvagni, whose design has been described by the yard as “beautiful and elegant”.

On-board accommodation is for ten guests split between a master suite, two double rooms and two twin rooms, while the crew quarters allow for a staff of up to four people. With a maximum beam of 7.03 metres, the Benetti Delfino 95 displaces 145 tonnes.

Key features on this tri-deck yacht include a transom tender garage, raised pilothouse, two spacious aft decks, and a sun deck with an upper helm station. In keeping with one of the top five design trends at Cannes Yachting Festival 2016, the Benetti Delfino 95 will be fitted with a foredeck spa pool.

Her underwater geometry features an amidships fin and bulbous bow for added efficiency and stability underway. The engine installation is yet to be revealed, but Benetti adds that the Delfino 95 will have a top speed of 13.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The total fuel capacity of 20,000 litres should ensure an impressive cruising range for a yacht of this size.

Other projects currently under development at Azimut-Benetti include the Azimut Grande 35, which is due to launch in early 2017.
