Yesterday, June 16th, saw the first press day aboard the 46.7m superyacht Blind Date (hull 14347) launched by Heesen Yachts in late 2009.

Built in steel and aluminium, Blind Date is the fifth of the 47m series from the duo of Heesen Yachts and Omega Architects. The interior was designed in a modern Deco style in cooperation with Keech Green, a first for this architectural office.

Lloyd’s classed and MCA compliant, her interior layout has accommodation for 10 guests in a master, three doubles and a twin cabin. Special features include a spiral staircase connecting all four decks, including the sundeck (see pictures), and larger windows for the owner’s suite, bringing more natural light into this area. Twin 1,160kW MTU engines give a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Delivered in September 2009, this superyacht cruised the Caribbean during the winter and is currently available for charter in the Mediterranean.
