Frauscher’s largest superyacht tender is a real speed Demon

Frauscher Boats has released renderings of its largest motor yacht yet, the 1414 Demon. Designed by KISKA, the 13.9 metre boasts sports car styling and can zip along at over 40 knots.

An ideal superyacht tender or day boat, the Frauscher 1414 Demon carries forward the Frauscher family heritage with a flat bow and vertical stem, tinted and frameless windscreen and low-profile exterior lines. The carbon fibre side blades are a nice detail but are also functional, concealing air intakes for the engine – this is a design feature that was also seen on the Frauscher 747 Mirage.

Designed by longtime Frauscher collaborator Harry Miesbauer, the new Frauscher 1414 Demon has a deep V, twin-stepped hull design that gives her swift speeds along with economical performance – three different engine packages will be available. The fast superyacht tender can top out at more than 40 knots with stern drive power, and a 1,200 litre fuel tank gives her a reasonably long range. Optional bow thrusters and a joy stick control ease handling.

In the cockpit, the new Frauscher flagship hosts a teppanyaki grill, ice maker, sink and refrigerator, while a retractable Bimini top provides shade. Inside, the Demon has a unique asymmetrical layout with a bathroom, kitchen, seating area and master cabin.

The Austrian builder says the Frauscher 1414 Demon is available for immediate order, with first deliveries available for 2016. The official world debut is planned for the Düsseldorf boat show in January, and the first chance to get on board for test drives will be this autumn in the Mediterranean.
