News just in from Palmer Johnson that the first hull in their PJ-170 series was launched earlier today.

Only known by her hull number for the moment, PJ-501 has a length of 52.2m, making her the largest sport yacht ever built. Constructed in aluminium, Lloyd’s registered and MCA compliant, she has an exterior and interior design by the Italian studio Nuvolari-Lenard. She accommodates 10 guests in 5 staterooms, and is powered by twin MTU engines. Special features include a swimming pool on the foredeck and advanced gyro-stabilizers never previously used on a sport yacht.
