PB Behage reveals new 44.8m concept Eastern Red for practical owners

A new 44.8 metre concept from PB Behage has put the practical yachtsman at its heart. Easter Red is designed to be used throughout the year and has a spacious, family friendly feel to her interior.

The yacht concept has incorporated new technology to fulfil practical purposes, and features a logical engine room to make maintenance as easy as possible. Three propeller shafts will be installed on Eastern Red; the middle one will be combined with electric propulsion to reduce noise and provide emergency propulsion during anchoring.

“My aim is to create a modern yacht in harmony between flowing and sharp lines and decks shall provide all lounges area with panoramic views suitable during to allow use in all seasons, and to incorporate new technology for practical purposes,” explained Piet B. Behage.

“The use of stone and marble combined with veneer wood integrated in the color of the interior is looks very cool and refreshing, such as we have developed, for our others selected and exciting projects.

“The interior design matches the external aesthetic for instance, in placing the window in the spacious master suite, which offers splendid panoramic views from within yet to give an appropriate sense and privacy.”

The interior of Eastern Red features a gym, an aft cockpit for sport fishing, bathing or watertoys and the three suites that will accommodate a total of eight guests. The lower deck accommodation consists of one spacious full-beam guest cabin and two double guest cabins with Pullmans and walk in bathrooms.

Upstairs lies the full-beam owner’s suite, complete with a large walk in bathroom and wardrobe, study and tea table. The main deck also houses a full-beam main saloon and a large dining area. Outside, the open aft deck boasts an alfresco table and disco floor, and stairs down to the aft cockpit that can be transformed into a beach club.

The walk-around sun deck encloses a spa pool with outdoor shower, plenty of space for lounging and barbecue facilities. There’s also the option to use the sub deck as a dance floor. Inside, there are two large L-shaped sofas, a games area and a coffee table.
