Update on new-build motor yacht at Hatteras

Progress continues on the new 30.4m Hatteras raised pilothouse motor yacht, scheduled to debut next autumn.

Lamination work on the hull was completed in July and special effort has also gone into making the engine room a showpiece, featuring twin 1900hp Caterpillar engines as the centre of attention.

The main deck and superstructure were also finished in lamination this week, followed by a complex rotation involving two gigantic cranes before being sent to the line.

The cap for this new Hatteras is currently undergoing its finishing touches. The tooling department will soon complete the massive 80 foot flybridge mould and then send it to the lamination department for part construction.
