Wim van der Valk Continental Yachts has sent pictures of its new Continental III superyacht as it embarked on its first sea trials.

We were the first to bring you photos of the launch of the Continental III 26.00 motor yacht last week, and today Yoeri Bijker of Wim van der Valk Continental Yachts tells Boat International, 'I can confirm that she reached the estimated top-speed of 25 knots!' The Continental III MCA-compliant, semi-displacement motor yacht is powered by triple 900-hp Volvo IPS-1200 D13 engines.

The all-aluminium yacht's exterior and interior styling is by Guido de Groot Design. She features an open-plan main saloon with a contemporary decor featuring white-washed oak walls and mahogany flooring. The 27.2m yacht accommodates 10 owners and guests in a main deck master and four en suite staterooms on the lower deck. Three crew members are accommodated in two cabins.

Part of the builder’s Continental III series of tri-deck, flybridge superyacht series, 28-, 30- and 34-metre versions are also available. The Continental III 26.00 will be making her official debut at the 2014 Düsseldorf Boat Show in January.
