Yachting Developments launches superyacht Antares III

Yachting Developments has announced the launch of their latest sailing yacht, a project previously known under the name Meteor (hull YD69) and now called Antares III.

Antares III is a 30m performance cruising sloop. Germanischer Lloyd classed and MCA compliant, she's built in composite (epoxy, carbon and kevlar) making her 25-30% lighter than another aluminium sailing yacht of the same size.

Antares III has naval architecture by Dixon Yacht Design, while her interior is designed by Rhoades Young. She accommodates six guests in a full-beam master suite and two double staterooms. The galley, crew mess and cabins for 4 crew are located forward.

Yachting Developments is proud to have launched Antares III in time, despite the bad weather in New Zealand at the moment. When delivered, the yacht will cruise the Pacific for her maiden voyage.

Yachting Developments also confirm the relaunch of Endeavour, scheduled for October 2011. This J-class sailing yacht is at the yard for an extensive refit. And their next project, the 30.50m catamaran Q5 (hull YD66) designed by Warwick Yacht Design with an interior by Redman Whiteley Dixon, is now scheduled for launch in May 2012.
