Zuccon SuperYacht Design is celebrating its first anniversary by unveiling a new project for a 55 metre superyacht.

In May 2013, the design studio showcased a new 90m superyacht concept, and now – exactly one year after opening its doors – Zuccon SuperYacht Design is unveiling an ambitious new design with a classic flavour. Also, after a year of hard work, the Rome-based studio has reorganised its many designs on the basis of five different style concepts: Timeless, Floating Architecture, Dislopen Series, Over 100, and Vintage. Five ways, they say, of thinking about superyachts, and five ways of responding to demand on the market with the right balance of innovation, style and comfort.

The ZSYD 55 Febo is 55 metres long, with minimal lines, the simple design of this striking yacht looks as if it’s intended for speed and high performance. But appearances can be deceptive, because the ZSYD 55 is a full displacement hull that travels at a leisurely and economical pace, in line with the current trend of demand for low operating costs and fuel consumption.

A key factor in the design of the vessel is use of outside space, seen as almost more important than the interior. There is a deck at the bow (as in previous Zuccon designs) which offers different functions to the interior spaces, and 'aesthetics and ergonomics are harmoniously blended in its style'.
