Top 6 ways Attitude by Rossinavi stands out from the crowd

Inspired by American lobster boats

Revealed at the 2016 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the latest superyacht concept from Rossinavi more than lives up to its name. Attitude is a 53 metre design that is immediately eye-catching with several innovative features that make it stand out from the crowd.

Despite its ultra-modern appearance, Attitude actually draws its inspiration from the American lobster boats of the 20th century, with a deep keel providing the stability of a sailing yacht, combined with the performance of a 20-knot motor yacht.

First naval design by architects A++

For this new project, Rossinavi teamed up with Italian architects Paolo and Carlo Colombo, better known as A++. As this was its first naval design, the Lugano-based firm brought plenty of new ideas to the table, with a particular focus on the experience of climbing aboard, as Carlo explains, “Never before [has] a boat [been] capable of making the guest feel he is not really entering, but he is instead being immersed into an unusual yachting experience.”

Wraparound aluminium spoiler

Inspired by the styling of high-performance sports cars, Attitude includes a wrap-around spoiler, which is part of an unbroken loop of aluminium running from the upper deck right down to the transom. This spectacular design feature also incorporates a slatted hardtop bimini, which provides shade for the spa pool up on the superyacht sundeck.

Semi-submerged beach club

Perhaps the most striking feature of the 53 metre Rossinavi concept Attitude is the all-important superyacht beach club, which includes a teak-finished sunbathing area just in front of a submerged swim platform. A fold-out staircase connects these two areas, creating a semi-submerged beach club that is not just aesthetically pleasing but also provides guests with easy access to the sea when they want to take a dip.

Glass-sided owner's cabin

It’s not uncommon for superyacht designers to want to bring more light into the interiors, but A++ has taken this to the next level with Attitude. Slanted glass panels on all four sides of the owner’s suite mean that this area is flooded with natural light, and the aluminium mullions combine with the curtains to provide privacy when needed. Four more cabins take the total accommodation to 10 guests, served by a crew of nine.

Rossinavi build quality

Attitude’s bold ideas are built on a solid foundation, as Rossinavi and Arrabito Naval Architects have brought their extensive technical expertise to bear on this project, which will meet RINA's environmental build quality standards and feature a total interior volume of just under 500GT. Power would come from a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines with a maximum fuel capacity of 50,000 litres, giving Attitude a transatlantic cruising range of 3,300 nautical miles.
