8 reasons why Angel’s Share is the perfect luxury racer

Her unique and iconic exterior

With the 35th America’s Cup fast approaching, sailing enthusiasts from across the world will be flocking to Bermuda to get a glimpse of the action. As well as the main event, there will be a series of superyacht regattas taking place in the North Atlantic and the Wally 130 yacht Angel’s Share is the ideal choice for those who want to get in on the action without compromising on comfort.

Recently back on the market, listed for sale with KK Superyachts, Angel’s Share is a high-performance sailing yacht that boasts a unique and iconic all-black exterior with stylish carbon fibre detailing that is guaranteed to turn heads.

Her proven racing pedigree

Angel’s Share is very much a proven racing yacht, who can hold her own at any superyacht regatta. She won her class at the 2013 Newport Bucket and would be the ultimate racer for an owner looking to enter the 2017 Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta.

Her large, open deck spaces

As well as delivering terrific sailing performance, Angel’s Share is also ideal for relaxing on deck and entertaining guests. Her open deck layout makes good use of her 40 metre length, while a smart awning system shelters this entire area from the elements when needed.

Her safe and well-protected terrace

For those who want to maintain a strong connection to the ocean, Angel’s Share is the ideal choice. Her open transom is a veritable terrace on the sea, with easy access to the water via the bathing platform. Safety is another key part of Angel’s Share’s appeal, as this entire area can be very well protected while the yacht is underway.

Her free-standing custom furniture

One of the most striking elements of Angel’s Share is her free-standing main deck seating and dining furniture, which was designed by Amanda Levete Architects. When situated on deck, this provides an exclusive spot for hosting small groups, and it can be completely removed for hosting larger groups or for racing in regattas. When dismantled and removed the whole deck structure split in four pieces and fits into a 12 metre container.

Her easily manoeuvrable sail plan

With such a strong racing pedigree, it is only to be expected that Angel’s Share boasts some of the finest sailing equipment on the market. Her super-high modulus rig and boom were created by Hall Spars, while the brand new EC6 carbon standing rigging and impressive North Sails inventory mean she can be easily transformed from a luxurious cruising yacht into a high-performance regatta racer.

Her luxurious superyacht interiors

Moving to the interior and Angel’s Share has been fitted out to an impeccable standard. Her first refit at German yard Lürssen was carried out in collaboration with Eidsgaard Design and won her the 2011 World Superyacht Award for Best Refit. She has been kept in an immaculate condition ever since with a second refit at Hinckley Yachts in 2013. Staffed by a crew of five people, Angel's Share promises a world-class superyacht service for up to 10 guests.

Her race-ready upgrades

Recently upgraded with the latest carbon rigging, Angel’s Share is race-ready, with everything needed to immediately enter into this season’s must-see regattas. Two brand new variable-speed generators complete her impressive set-up and mean that Angel’s Share is the ideal choice for a passionate owner looking to get on the water this summer.
