Each week we place a spotlight on one of the world’s finest superyachts for charter. This week, we look to the 50-metre Feadship Adventure following her mesmerising refit in 2022...
From the outside she’s a perfectly proportioned classical-looking 50-metre Feadship delivered in 2004. On the inside, however, Adventure is a masterful design feat by Tino Zervudachi of international design studio Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi completed in 2022. Hailing from the upper echelons of interior design, Zervudachi’s work includes that of London’s National Gallery and a series of ornate residential projects, but also several yacht interiors, most recently Adventure.
Calling on his remarkable experience, the 50-metre Feadship is now adorned with pops of colour – custom artworks and carefully considered prints set againcst her existing warm oak wood floors and panelling. The result is a light and welcoming interior, which has given Adventure a new lease of life and a deserved candidate for our charter yacht of the week.
Key Features
Formerly known as Hanikon, Adventure’s new personality started in December 2021, when the 50-metre was sold. Having then joined the charter fleet with Y.CO, her new owners took the opportunity to give Adventure a substantial interior revamp as well as a full repaint of her exterior.
The warm honey tones of oak underline the yacht’s colour palate, but pops of colour cut through these muted tones and bring a lively assortment of brighter colours into the mix. This approach extends through to the artwork and soft furnishings on board, which is curated with striking reds, pinks and blues. Carefully mixed patterns, prints and textures have been carefully deployed to create a timeless, inviting and comfortable interior aesthetic.
Guest accommodation comprises six cabins which can accommodate up to 12 guests on board. This is laid out as a main deck master suite, two doubles and two generously sized twins, each with a vanity desk positioned between the two berths. An optional sixth cabin can also be set up as required or can easily be converted into a massage therapy room.
Why is Adventure the perfect charter yacht?
Everything down to the warmish lighting has been created to cast the perfect space. On board, you’ll find open-plan areas bathed in natural light (and hidden televisions), large windows and an upright piano all carefully placed to create a welcoming environment.
With entertaining as her core purpose, Adventure has vast exterior decks where guests can dine, and relax in the summer months. The sun deck tends to be the hub of activity during the day with a multitude of sunbathing spots as well as a barbecue and bar for refreshments. A Jacuzzi is surrounded by sun pads that can convert into a sofa area with low-slung tables.
A good all-rounder vessel for families too, the 50-metre can also offer the option of a cinema set up on the sun deck under the stars. The film buff First Officer can give you several recommendations to keep you and the children entranced if cosy movie nights sound like the ideal end to the day.
From themed party nights on private beaches to keepsake video mementoes of your daily excursions, the crew on board Adventure has been earmarked as a particular highlight by the broker.
Other highlights include an interior-exterior dining table that can seat up to 20 guests, ideal for those looking to host a celebration during their time on board, while a significant upgrade to her audio-visual systems means guests can crank up the music as the sun sets. Glass windbreaks surround the deck, offering protection from the elements.
With a name like Adventure, it’s important to keep the activity up on board, achieved in one sense by her full complement of water toys and inflatables. An assortment of all-new toys has been recently added to make this one of the best toy boxes to be found in the charter fleet, including a new water slide, jet skis, and E-foils among much else.
What’s special about Adventure?
While it could be classified as luxuriant, Adventure's interiors have a particularly welcoming atmosphere, which is relaxing and above all, liveable. While a name like Zervudachi may give impressions of a more ornate approach, the reality is more human-centred and inviting. The design approach strikes a balance between practicality and elegance, and it manifests itself as the perfect charter yacht.
Her fresh interiors have not only restored this remarkable 50-metre Feadship to her former glory but placed her at the forefront of the industry. This has been achieved to such a degree that it’s difficult to fathom that Adventure was delivered 20 years ago.
While her interiors have been placed in the spotlight after her refit, her remarkable – and unchanged – exteriors designed by Terence Disdale remain just as pleasing. Perfectly proportioned and well-balanced with grand oval windows, the yacht emanates a profile that exemplifies her pedigree – true to Feadship’s prowess.
