In the latest James Bond instalment, 007’s love interest, Madeleine Swann, hides out in the snow-covered landscapes of Norway as a child and returns again as an adult with Bond in tow. Scenes were filmed in the forests of Nittedal just outside Oslo, as well as in the Vevang area, where the scenic Atlantic Ocean Road was featured in an epic car chase.

A cruise through Norway’s stunning fjords and archipelagos is becoming an increasingly popular option for those looking for adventure off the beaten track – for the winter 2021/2022 charter season, 36 metre Mulder Calypso I will be cruising in the south while the 68.2 metre explorer yacht Ragnar will be venturing to the northern Lofoten islands.

How to visit on a superyacht: Oslo’s Aker Brygge Marina, with berths for yachts up to 61 metres, is a popular starting point for Norwegian charters, while Tromsø Port in the north serves as the gateway to the Arctic circle and its Northern Lights viewpoints.
