The Mark Yacht, New York

Until October 1, guests at The Mark Hotel can hop aboard a private 21.3 metre bespoke sailboat for a three-hour journey from Tribeca's North Cove Marina south to the iconic New York Harbour, cruising past the Statue of Liberty.

With a mahogany hull, teak decks and American spruce mast, she is a stunning example of craftsmanship from the 1920s. Thought to be commissioned in 1919 and designed by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff, she saw her first full season at a private mooring on Long Island's "Gold Coast" of Oyster Bay in 1922.

The boat is available for private charter exclusively to guests of The Mark Hotel. Resident chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has designed a delicious menu so guests can nibble on small appetisers and refreshments while taking in glowing sunsets and extraordinary views of New York City.
