The Antinori family has been involved in the production of wine for over six centuries, ever since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered as a member of the Winemakers’ Guild of the city of Florence. During this entire period, through twenty six generations, the family has always directly managed this activity with courageous and, at times, innovative decisions, but always maintaining the fundamental respect for tradition and for the territory. Today the firm is run by Marquis Piero Antinori with the support of his three daugthers, Albiera, Allegra, and Alessia. Tradition, passion, and intuition have been the three driving principles which have led the Marchesi Antinori firm to become a leader in Italian wine and throughout the world. Marchesi Antinori family will be glad to host an aperitif reception, to enjoy a glass of wine together, at Antinori Palace, the current residence of the family in Florence, located in Piazza Antinori. An architectural jewel of the Renaissance, it was designed and constructed by Giuliano da Maiano in 1461 and enlarged by Baccio d’Agnolo in 1543. Today, the Antinori palace is not merely a prestigious edifice, historical headquarters of a winemaking company, but also the symbol of a centuries-old family history, traditions which have become a concrete modern reality.

Temple St. Clair Goldsmiths Workshop

Upon request, limited spaces available,  RSVP required

Founded in Florence, Italy in 1986, Temple St. Clair Fine Jewellery is celebrating 30 years of working with the finest goldsmiths in the world, the centuries-old Florentine jewellers’ guild. With an artist’s eye and explorer’s heart, St. Clair fashions rare coloured gems with distinctive gold work to illustrate universal narratives of the earth and cosmos. Uncompromising in her choice of materials and execution, St. Clair explores themes that are meaningful to her through a delightful lens of whimsy and discovery. Her critically acclaimed nine-piece collection of Haute Couture, Mythical Creatures from the Golden Menagerie, made its début at the Louvre in Paris in January 2015. Ms. St. Clair will be hosting an exclusive reception to speak about the inspiration behind her work and to sign copies of her book, Alchemy: A Passion for Jewels. Following the reception, St. Clair will provide a private tour to one of her goldsmiths’ workshops in the centre of Florence near the Ponte Vecchio. In this authentic Florentine “bottega,” guests will witness first-hand the fusion of gold and a demonstration of centuries-old goldsmithing techniques.

Antico Setificio Fiorientino

Upon request, limited spaces available,  RSVP required

Antique looms mark the passage of time since 1786, when the Antico Setificio (Granduke Pietro Leopoldo decided it) began producing customised fabrics in the heart of San Frediano, using original machines that give the finished cloths a timeless appeal. Each of the many lines has something that renders it previous: Broccatelli is woven from linen and gold chenille on eighteenth-century hand-looms; Le Roy, first ordered by Maria de’ Medici, is famous worldwide for its sumptuousness along with many others. The Antico Setificio Fiorentino, now owned by the Ricci family (Stefano Ricci Spa, or company), also makes finished products for the home and for yachts, also according to customers’ designs.

Opificio Pietre Dure

The laboratory is always closed to public, but thanks to the collaboration between Baldi and Opifico we can gather a small number of people to visit this ancient laboratory of hard stones mosaic and other restoration techniques. Some of the techniques that we will see are the same of those used by Baldi in today's home jewels production.

10:00 – 15:00, Limited spaces available,  RSVP required

Guests will have the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful vineyards in the Chianti Classico area and home to one of the oldest family run business in the world.

The Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico winery, inaugurated on October 25th 2012 and new headquarters of the company since January 2013, represents the Antinori family’s love and passion for the Chianti Classico hillsides and reflects the centuries-old bond with their ancestral territory.

Built entirely with locally sourced materials, respectful of the surrounding environment and preserving with great care the Tuscan landscape, the winery is the place where tradition and innovation coexist naturally in one place telling past, present and future of the Antinori family and company. For the first time in 26 generations, with the Chianti Classico winery, the Antinori family has opened its doors to wine enthusiasts, allowing them to come into direct contact with their production's philosophy. The winery has become a place to discover the pleasures of living and breathing wine and its traditions in a very special and astonishingly contemporary setting. The Antinori family will be glad to receive the guests of World Superyatch Awards for a relaxing farewell brunch at our rooftop Rinuccio 1180 Restaurant. An occasion to experience a tasting of some of Marchesi Antinori wines in perfect harmony with visual and culinary pleasures, in front of a marvellous Tuscan skyline, where gently rolling hillsides are dotted with olive groves and ancient churches.
