Sabrina Monte-Carlo

Founded by born and bred Monegasque Sabrina Monteleone, Sabrina Monte-Carlo’s four Monaco boutiques should be your first port of call when looking for beautiful pieces to update your superyacht’s interior. As the partner of famous yacht designer Espen Øino, Monteleone knows a thing or two about making the most deck and cabin spaces with Kismet, Ester III and Silver Fast all boasting pieces from Sabrina Monte-Carlo’s beautiful stores.

Monaco may be home to every fine watch and jewellery house worth its salt but if you’re looking for something you won’t find anywhere else then head to Ciribelli whose one and only boutique is located at the prestigious Le Metropole shopping centre at the Hotel Metropole. Offering a wide range of Swiss-made watches for both men and women in the brand’s distinctive, statement style, along with a selection of exquisite fine jewellery designed and crafted in house, it is the perfect place to choose your finery pre-party.

Fine wines, top-quality champagnes and rare spirits can all be found at the oldest cellar in the principality of Monaco. Set up in the early 1900s, the shop’s classic décor is reminiscent of the boutique’s beginnings; wooden beams, old wine barrels and vintage posters line the walls. Their choice wines are even featured on the menus of some of Monaco’s most prestigious hotels and restaurants. The cellar has a secondary function as a delicatessen, selling Modena balsamic vinegars, foie gras and artisan jams and confits. Events such as wine and whiskey tastings are held throughout the year at Les Grands Chais Monégasques, plus they also offer wine delivery straight to your superyacht cellar.

If you’re looking to invest in a little culture during your stay in Monaco then avoid the crowds at Opera Gallery – it has sister galleries the world over after all – and head instead to Maison d’Art. One of the most prestigious names in fine art, this gallery will celebrate its 20th anniversary as one of the leading dealers of Old Masters next year and has recently expanded its remit to include a number of important modern and contemporary artists. Top picks include pieces by Johan Richter, Damien Hirst, Holger Eckstein and Santi di Tito.

From luxurious cashmere knits to fine home furnishings and beautiful Italian leather goods, Florentine fashion house Stefano Ricci prides itself on catering to the every whim of the discerning superyacht set. It’s stunning Monaco store at the Fairmont Hotel is a testament to the brand’s high end offering and, should you like what you can see, you can even give your superyacht the Stefano Ricci treatment courtesy of the brand’s Luxury Yacht Division.

Kamil Interior Design Conception Art Gallery originally launched in Cannes in the 1970s but had moved to the centre of Monaco by 1984. Recognisable by the distinct pink marble storefront, it now sits opposite the city’s retreat of the Jardin Japonais. The gallery specialises in modern art but, unlike the Maison d’Art, also offers interior design services. Their interiors portfolio includes the 44m yacht Sister Act and private residences in Monaco, Ibiza and Mexico. Sculpture work by Lorenzo Quinn and Damien Hirst is up for grabs in the showroom, as is photography by the likes of Helmut Newton.

No guest should arrive at a superyacht soiree empty handed and for the most delectable post-dinner treats there only one place to go: Chocolaterie de Monaco. Founded by Pierre Maurin in 1920, the boutique was appointed as the official supplier to the Palace of Monaco by Prince Rainier III in 1999 and has been delighting royalty, locals and visitors alike with its beautiful chocolate boxes, unique creation and speciality teas ever since. Celebrate your surroundings with commemorative boxes dedicated to Grace Kelly, the Musée Océanographique and the F1 Grand Prix.

Princess Grace of Monaco opened the Boutique du Rocher Back in 1966, and it has retained its quintessence and glamour ever since. Combining interior design and souvenirs, shoppers can find Monegasque and Provençale crafts inside as well as artwork, ceramic tableware, embroidered cloth, antique toys and clothes for children and hand-carved picture frames. In a nod to the founder’s legacy, the proceeds of any trinkets you pick up will be donated to the Princess Grace Foundation. The charity works to support children’s hospitals, as well as cultural establishments such as the Princess Grace Dance Academy and Princess Grace Irish Library.

Whether you’ll be escaping the Yacht Show crowds inside Monaco’s spas, or hanging out in your superyacht jacuzzi during downtime, a swimsuit is a must have during your stay in Monaco. If you’ve forgotten it at home, or are in need of a style update, head to Madame Monte Carlo.Their bikinis, one-pieces and accessories are distinguished by bright block colours and classic cuts. In a patriotic nod to their hometown, many of the pieces feature the red and white colours of the Monaco flag. Shoppers can also order custom-made resort wear and beach covers in fine silks and satins to accessorise their swimwear with.

A private appointment is required to browse or purchase any of the fine gems from the Orlov jewellery house. Only 120 fine jewellery pieces are delivered from the workshop in Italy each year, meaning that although a relative newcomer, Orlov has gained a reputation in Monaco for its exclusive finery; their pieces have also been worn by stars such as singer Katy Perry, Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko and model Alessandra Ambrosio. Jointly owned by Angela and Christian Orlov, the couple decided to set up shop in Monaco after first meeting in the city in 2010. Their bold and colourful jewels have been exhibited in some of the finest hotels around the world; from the Metropole at home in Monaco to the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and the Kulm Hotel in St Moritz.
