Ocean Talks 2018

The inaugural edition of Ocean Talks, organised by Boat International Media with support from the Ocean Family Foundation and North Sails, took place at the Royal Geographical Society in London on June 13, 2018. Bringing together leading figures from the worlds of marine science, environmental conservation and superyachting, the theme of the day was 'Change Makers', with each speaker sharing their stories, advice and expertise in the hopes of creating solutions to the crisis facing our oceans.

The exhibitors

Along with a varied programme of talks and panels, the Ocean Talks 2018 also hosted a number of exhibitors working within the sustainability and ocean conservation spaces. Displays ranged from Nature Squared's sustainable interior design materials (pictured) to Sky Sails innovative yacht towing kite and the chance to swim with sharks in virtual reality with North Sails.
