34 of the best celebrity yacht moments of 2015

It’s no secret that celebrities love yachts and, from Cannes to the Caribbean, 2015 was full of A-list celebrities spotted on superyachts. But who had the best vacations on the biggest yachts? Click through to relive our favourite celebrity yacht moments of 2015.

Chanel Iman on Ecstasea

American model Chanel Iman has enjoyed some seriously chic superyacht vacations in recent years and almost all of them were on board the 89.95 metre Feadship Ecstasea. She was most recently spotted on board a superyacht during the Cannes Film Festival but it is Iman’s annual New Year’s trip to Dubai which wins her a spot on our list.

Any keen celebrity yachtspotter will know where to find Magic Johnson during the summer months. Every year the basketball star famously charters the 70 metre Amadeus for a six-week cruise of the Med where he is joined by a bevy of A-list friends. This year’s guest list included Johnson’s son EJ, Samuel L. Jackson, Lewis Hamilton, comedian Chris Tucker and Tucker’s son Destin.

Israeli socialite Hofit Golan displays some questionable sailing techniques while on a superyacht cruise in Ibiza in July. The TV personality sailed around the Med with three friends before ending her trip in Turkey.

American socialite and style icon Olivia Palermo cemented her fashion credentials when she holidayed on board T.M.Blue One – the 46 metre Picchiotti belonging to the honorary president of Valentino Giancarlo Giametti - this summer. Palermo was joined by Giametti, Carlos Souza, Lukas Dvorak and her husband Johannes Huebl for a luxury yacht vacation in Ibiza in July.

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence (top right) showed off her playful side as she took to the top of a human pyramid supported by fellow actress and comedienne Amy Schumer (bottom right) in July. The pair were holidaying on board a yacht with a group of other female friends after being re-united at a recent Comic-Con event in San Diego and - both being known for their adventurous natures - made good use of the yacht's jet skis and inflatables.

Reality TV star Kylie Jenner joined her sister Kendall on a yacht in Australia in November as the pair prepared to launch their new fashion range Down Under. Kendall became another model spotted on a superyacht as the pair enjoyed a spot of sunbathing while cruising along the Parramatta River in Sydney.

Singer Marc Anthony - best known as the ex-husband of Jennifer Lopez - demonstrated that you can mix work and pleasure when he shared this snap from a superyacht photoshoot on Instagram. The shoot took place on board the 36.5 metre Double Shot which was docked in Biscayne Bay ahead of the  Art Basel Miami Beach fair in December.

Australian model Ashley Hart and television presenter Sonia Kruger hopped on to one of Sydney's  perfect party yachts to celebrate the close of Oprah Winfrey's tour of Australia in December. The pair enjoyed time sailing around Sydney harbour and, despite the clouds, proved that you don't need perfect weather to enjoy spending time on a yacht.

Husband and wife team Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall became the latest  models spotted on superyachts as they posed aboard a luxury vessel to launch their new tequila range, Sesión Premium Tequila, in December. The Australian beauty queen and former Miss Universe then joined her husband in hosting a star-studded bash at the riverside location in Sydney.

Despite clearly enjoying his  luxury yacht charter in Spain while it was happening, British singer Ed Sheeran revealed that he may have had a little too much fun and required surgery after bursting his ear drum while jumping off the yacht. Sheeran chartered the luxury yacht to celebrate the birthday of three friends and says, despite the incident, he enjoyed himself so much he would definitely spend time on a yacht again.

However, Sheeran is not the first star to fall foul of this popular yachting pastime. Footballer Memphis Depay, one of many  sports stars spotted on luxury yacht vacations, posted a video showing that his diving skills left much to be desired while on holiday this summer.
