After having collaborated with German boatbuilder Knierim, design firm beiderbeck has completed a new, high-performance D-Rib tender for an experienced owner. The first unit from the company's range of serially produced semi-custom tenders has been developed to fulfil an owner’s need for a craft that can be used as a tender to a superyacht, be able to withstand rough conditions and run at high speeds.
The Knierim high performance D-Rib-tender is equipped with a Volvo D3 with sterndrive, which accelerates the 6.3-metre tender on the right foot to speeds of more than 30 knots.
Made to be both a perfect fast commuting and wakeboarding boat, the design offers its owner the option to customise and adapt the layout, functionality or style to match the mothership. The design also features a large sunberth, sprayhood, stern shower and a beach lander.
Knierim and beiderbeck have also considered how users can crane the boat off the mothership. As a result, the design team have added 4 lift points and ultra-compact dimensions with a special hull, foldable windshield and extra narrow D-tube to fit in small storage areas, including the pool of the new Mangusta 50.
