Project Gemini is a picture of sophistication. From the boards of Omega Architects, she is the fifth hull in Heesen's 55m Steel series, following in the footsteps of her lauded sisterships Vida and Laurentia. A sharp exterior features vast amounts of glass, welcoming in an abundance of natural light and offering guests generous views of the seascape in return.
At 760GT, there is plenty of room to sprawl out across Gemini's four decks. Stepping aboard, guests are welcomed by a luxurious champagne interior that is illuminated by floor-to-ceiling windows and bronze mirrored ceiling panels that draw the eyes skyward.
For the first time, Heesen has partnered with Italian designer Luca Dini who has created a sumptuous interior within, selecting a smart palette of toasted almond silks, chocolate brown woods and latte leathers. Four enlarged guest cabins, occupying the space of five, reside on the lower level while the VIP suite has been promoted to the upper deck. A full-beam owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck, naturally, flooded with light thanks to vertical windows that characterise the forward portion of the hull. The 82 square-metre retreat features amber mirrored panels that bounce a warm light throughout the space, complemented by brushed teak floors with darker chocolate wood and coffee leathers.
A fully-fledged wellness centre can be found in the beach club, serving as a soothing and ambient space in which to unwind after a day out on the water. Alternatively, guests may choose to close the day with a dip in the sundeck Jacuzzi.
