Inside the 26 Metre Extra 86 Yacht Haze
Launched in August as the second hull in the Extra 86 series, the 26 metre Haze has been seen for the first time in new images released by the Italian yard.
With a sporty, contemporary exterior penned by Francesco Guida, Haze is the product of a design process which began with the Lawson Robb-styled interiors and worked its way out.
Key exterior features include large windows that gives the owner “the magical feeling of being in a large crystal dome”, according to the yard, and provide far-reaching ocean views from the interior.
The design focused on delivering the maximum liveability throughout the yacht, resulting in spaces such as the 50 square metre cockpit/ beach club. Close to the water’s edge, the cockpit is spread across three levels while the swim platform features a hydraulic mechanism that lowers it below the surface of the water.
Eye-catching solar panels cover the main saloon, generating enough energy to power a number of utilities on board.
A comfortable seating area and sundeck sits at the bow while the saloon and aft deck can be transformed into another entertainment area for alfresco screenings of late-night films.
The main wheelhouse is located at the bow and a second sits on the 25 square metre flybridge alongside a spacious sunbathing area with a semi-circular sofa, bar and barbecue.
Inside, the aft-located galley is furnished in white marble, creating the “penthouse feel” the owner stipulated for the interior.
A full beam main saloon features a comfortable C-shaped leather sofa and dining table for eight while the blue and grey colour palette is paired with lacquered woods.
Accommodation on board is for eight guests in four cabins, including a full beam master, large VIP and two doubles. The crew quarters located at the bow features two twin cabins, a bathroom and dinette.
Powered by two Volvo IPS 1350 engines, Haze has a top speed of 21 knots and range of 1200 nautical miles at 12 knots.
