10 January 2021

Name: Barracuda Explorer

Builder: Turquoise Yachts

Length: 74 metres

Year: 2022

Currently under construction at Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts, this project aims to combine the luxury amenities of a superyacht with the resilience and rugged exterior of a utilitarian exploration vessel.

The Barracuda Explorer offers 1730GT of internal volume and accommodation for up to 14 guests in seven cabins.  Impressive on board features include a spiral staircase that allows access to all decks, an elegant glass-floored atrium and a generous beach club aft for spa treatments and entertaining close to the water.

There’s also a dedicated cinema room, a large swimming pool on the aft deck, a full-beam saloon complete with a bar and indoor/outdoor dining spaces, as well as a crow’s nest viewpoint on the upper deck for observing views in adventuruous environments accessible only to an explorer yacht.

Her aluminium superstructure has been crafted by H2 Yacht design and features hard-edged, aggressive exterior styling suitable for embarking on exciting expeditions. Powered by a pair of diesel 3516-C Caterpillar engines, Barracuda Explorer will be able to reach a top speed of 17 knots.

Expected delivery is set for 2022.
