Interior insight: Inside the 55m Heesen Laurentia with Radyca

We explore the craftsmanship behind the luxury fit-out by Miami-based designer RADYCA

Heesen's brief for RADYCA was to promote luxury, relaxation and entertainment throughout the yacht. Spanning four decks with multiple communal spaces and enough room for 12 guests and 14 crew members, the design had to be considered and in-keeping with the external design.

Laurentia's interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in six rooms, including a master suite, a VIP stateroom, two double cabins, two twin cabins and two Pullman beds.

With whispers of the classic dark wood we have come to love and expect from many yacht interiors, Laurentia's look is light and airy, well-proportioned and most importantly, stylish. The communal areas are bright and minimal, designed to be comfortable and accommodating for all on board.

With a brightly lit, private office strategically placed for the inhabitant to enjoy calming views out to see, Laurentia also boats a number of communal spaces perfect for hosting. From the indoor bar to the sun deck that's perfect for sundowners the outdoor space is perfect for entertaining. Speaking of, onboard entertainment includes an outdoor cinema and a Jacuzzi for quick-dips.

Laurentia enjoys subtle, warm lighting, which creates the comfortable ambience throughout. The neutral colour palates allow for versatility and personal touches, while the use of throws, rugs and plump scatters in each room add texture.
