Revealed earlier this year, the 23.25-metre Riva 76’ Perseo Super is the impressive evolution of the 76’ Perseo – Riva’s most popular sport fly model to date. Defined by a sleek profile, oozing Italian style and featuring more than 40-square-metres of glazed surfaces in the hull and superstructure, here BOAT looks at what makes the new and improved 76’ Perseo all the more super.
Improving a masterpiece
The result of close collaboration between the experts at the Ferretti Group and long-time Riva designers Officina Italiana Design, the new Super Perseo is a sportier, more elegant and higher performing yacht than ever before. New features include performance upgrades, a new layout configuration option, additional windows on the lower deck and an improved wheelhouse.
Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, founders of Officina Italiana Design, explain more. “We collected all the thoughts and feedback of our customers together with the 76’ Perseo dealerships around the world. We knew we wanted to incorporate the improvements that the market was asking for. Among the upgrades is the option of a three or four-cabin layout, as well as an additional living space on the lower deck.”
“Owners can also choose to have a bar or comfortable sofa in the cockpit, while the wheelhouse is stronger than her predecessor,” they continue. “That was one of the more complex improvements in her design, but we saw that owners prefer driving in the flybridge and being protected from the elements as priorities. We love the 76’ Perseo Super. It’s the ultimate yacht. You can have it on the lake, live the good life at sea, relax, or spend time cruising to the best harbour restaurants. It’s a day boat, it’s a vacation yacht, and it’s pure Italian style.”
Onboard Riva 76’ Perseo Super
Pure Italian style is indeed found on every inch onboard the Perseo Super. Detailing in mahogany and polished stainless steel is a sophisticated nod to the heritage of Riva throughout, while spacious living spaces dominate inside and out. Created to maximise enjoyment at sea, the smart swim platform can be lowered into the water for seamless access to the water or easy launching of the 3.25-metre tender.
Performance-wise, the 76’ Super does not disappoint. Equipped with twin MAN 1,550 MHP engines, she boasts a maximum speed of 32 knots with a swift cruising speed of 28 knots. Owners with a need for speed can also opt for a more powerful propulsion system to achieve thrilling top speeds of up to 37 knots.
The first Riva 76 Perseo Super is currently nearing completion at Riva’s facility in La Spezia, Italy. She is scheduled for delivery this summer and will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 7 - 12 September 2021.
