€5M Price Drop on Oceanco Motor Yacht Luna B
by Malcolm Maclean
The 66 metre motor yacht Luna B, listed for sale by Vesa Kaukonen at KK Superyachts, has had another price reduction of €5,000,000.
Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Oceanco to Lloyd's class and MCA compliant, Luna B was delivered in 2005 with a full rebuild in 2018/2019. Her interior by Alberto Pinto features a selection of woods, leathers and fabrics. Accommodation is for up to 16 guests in eight cabins consisting of a full-beam master suite, VIP suite, four doubles and two extra cabins for guests or staff, all with en-suite bathroom facilities. In addition, the crew quarters sleep 18 staff aboard this yacht for sale.
The main-deck saloon is designed in macassar, ebony and sycamore wood panelling with nickel-plated highlights. Her settees and chairs combine fabrics and leather, with the entire area illuminated by natural light cast through large windows.
Luna B offers two interior dining rooms. Formal dining is found on the main deck forward of the main saloon. This area seats 12 guests at a dark wooden table with chairs framed in dark wood and light fabrics. The second inside dining area for 12 is found in the skylounge to port. The interior décor of the skylounge and dining area is in light woods and fabrics in contrasting tones of blue and red. The skylounge is a bright area with large floor-to-ceiling windows, a bar with a pantry for serving, as well as settees and chairs.
Through the skylounge doors aft is a casual al fresco dining area with a large table, which seats 12 or can be separated for two smaller parties. The sundeck features a scallop-shaped pool that also offers Jacuzzi functions and the pool is flanked by four wide steps in an overflow area, which allows guests to cool down by relaxing in the shallow areas. Her top speed is 15 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 6,000 nautical miles at 13 knots with power coming from two 3,015hp Deutz-MWM SBV12M628 diesel engines.
Luna B is now asking €49,500,000 and will be on display at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show.
