A record day as Merle Wood sells My Shanti

28 September 2009 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

There's now no doubt about it - the industry's definitely on the upturn as Peter Croke of Merle Wood & Associates confirms to me that the 64.5m Amels superyacht My Shanti - a central agency he shares with Merle Wood - closed today. Peter also says that he and Merle acted for both seller and buyer in this, the sixth superyacht sale announced here today.

Built in 2007 to ABS class and MCA compliant, My Shanti was the subject of a recent feature article in Boat International, where the writer used every superlative in the book before retiring exhausted. Styled and with an amazing interior by Terence Disdale, she accommodates up to 20 guests in a master, two VIPs, four doubles, two twins and two Pullman berths.
