Another price drop on Delta Marine motor yacht Spirit
by Malcolm Maclean
The 38 metre motor yacht Spirit, listed for sale by Josh Gulbranson at Fraser in Fort Lauderdale, has had a further price reduction of $475,000.
Built in GRP by US yard Delta Marine to a design by Jonathan Quinn Barnett, Spirit was delivered in 2001 with a major refit in 2014. An elegantly contemporary interior, again designed by Jonathan Quinn Barnett, accommodates up to 11 guests in four cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suite and two convertible doubles plus two Pullman berths, all with entertainment centres, Samsung HD television screens and en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, six crew are accommodated in three cabins aboard this yacht for sale.
The aft foyer into the main deck saloon features a magnificent floor inlay of two eagles in fossilised wood created by stone artist Jeff Homchick and illuminated from above by a glass skylight. The saloon itself is spacious with an aft bar, a lounge area and an entertainment centre including a 46 inch HD Smart television screen on a rise and fall mechanism and a stereo surround sound system. Forward, the hexagonal dining area has leather wall panelling defining its perimeter and has formal seating for eight guests. Further forward still, the country style kitchen is a favoured spot for light snacks throughout the day.
The sky lounge aft of the pilot house is another comfortable retreat, with deep windows to enhance the view along with a custom couch that converts to a double bed with a full bathroom including a shower on the port side. On the starboard side is a full wet bar with fridge, meaning that a dedicated sybarite might never need leave this room.
The flybridge offers ample seating in either sun or shade. Two tables with wraparound seating are out of the sun, while all the way aft is a sunny seating area with wicker chairs and a wet bar built into the back of the port side bench seating. Twin 1,800hp MTU diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 14 knots and she is fitted with Quantum zero speed stabilisers.
Lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Spirit is now asking $8,475,000.
