The 43 metre expedition yacht Marcato has had a central agency change and is now jointly listed for sale by Georges Bourgoignie at Fraser and Paul Madden at Ocean Xplorer.
Designed by Guariono & Cox, she was built in steel and aluminium by Canadian yard Hike Metal Products and delivered in 2006 as a yacht with a robust exterior but an interior akin to a luxury home. ABS classed and MCA compliant, this yacht for sale accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins. The master suite is located on the upper deck with a private lounge and walk around side decks, while below there are a further two doubles with queen sized beds and two twins, all with en suite bathroom facilities.
Marcato carries seven crew in four cabins including a captain’s cabin aft of the wheelhouse with a navigation desk, along with three twin cabins forward on the lower deck, separated from the guest accommodation by a watertight door, affording full privacy to the guests.
The main saloon has comfortable seating, a bar and an entertainment centre in the lounge area while forward is an elegant formal dining room, although informal snacks are always available at the bar or in the galley. Fitted with full sized commercial grade equipment, the galley has a large settee and dining table, a desk, television screen, DVD and stereo sound. Al fresco entertaining and dining is available on the aft main deck with a large table, and also up on the flybridge which offers a full bar and 360 degree views.
Twin 1,000hp Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 8,000 nautical miles.
On display at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, Marcato is asking $9,980,000.
