Feadship motor yacht Carolina for sale
by Malcolm Maclean
The 48.18 metre motor yacht Carolina has been listed for sale by Mark Elliott at IYC.
Carolina was built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Feadship to a design by Guido de Groot and delivered in 1997 with an extensive refit in 2014. The light, bright interior was designed by John Munford and is characterised by a recurring Art Deco motif, accommodating up to 12 guests in five cabins. These comprise a full beam master suite, two doubles with queen-sized beds and two twins, each with a Pullman berth. All guest cabins have entertainment centres and marble en suite bathroom facilities while a further five cabins sleep 10 crewmembers aboard this yacht for sale.
The open plan main saloon is styled to offer total comfort, with large settees and armchairs, joinery in madrona burl and anigre woods, wide windows and an entertainment centre including a wide screen television set. Forward is a formal dining area with seating for 12 guests at an oval dining table.
A particular favourite with guests is the sky lounge. There, a pair of easy chairs and a sofa, upholstered in white, are grouped around a coffee table and face a flat screen television for a perfect night at the movies. Curved glass sliding doors open this room to the boat deck. Twin 905hp Caterpillar diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 13 knots topping out at 14 knots.
Lying in Maine, New England, Carolina is asking $14,900,000.
