Inace explorer yacht Far, Far Away sold
by Malcolm Maclean
The 36.57 metre explorer yacht Far, Far Away, listed for sale by John DeCaro of All Ocean Yachts, has been sold with the buyer introduced by The Boutique Boat Company in Australia.
Built in steel and aluminium by Inace to a design by Luiz de Basto she was delivered in 2012, and the styling adds a modern touch to the traditional explorer yacht profile, while retaining its essential features — a robust bow, a large area forward with a two-ton crane to store two sizeable tenders and large storage volumes for long-range cruising.
The spacious interior, also designed by Luiz de Basto, accommodates 10 guests on the lower deck in five cabins comprising a full-beam master suite, two doubles and two twin guest cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite is placed in the centre of the vessel for maximum comfort, and has extensive storage and hanging closet space for extended cruising. The guest staterooms are large and have all the amenities needed for guests to be comfortable in long visits to remote areas.
There is also extensive storage space for dry goods, frozen food and refrigerated goods. Outdoors, she has extensive deck and lounging spaces with a huge flybridge and several sheltered locations for al fresco entertaining and dining.
Far, Far Away is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 diesel engines giving a top speed of 13 knots, a cruising speed of 11 knots, and a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Far, Far Away was asking $12,595,000.
