Price Drop on Classic Motor Yacht Emera
by Malcolm Maclean
The 39.43 metre motor yacht Emera, listed for sale by Marco Fodale at Camper & Nicholsons International, has had a price reduction of €700,000.
Built in steel and aluminium by British yard Camper & Nicholsons to an in-house design with naval architecture by John White, Emera was delivered in 1974 with a full refit in 2000 and has just completed a further technical refit including brand new engines. The refit saw her receive a repaint and a new interior by Bannenberg & Rowell, now accommodating eight guests in four cabins.
The cabins on this yacht for sale are configured as a master suite, VIP suite, a double and a twin, all with entertainment centres and en suite bathroom facilities. Crew accommodation for four staff and maintenance facilities are located forward while all guest cabins are aft, enabling crew tasks to be carried out without disturbing the guests.
On the main deck forward is a large formal dining room with seating for eight guests, while aft of the saloon is a wet bar area and there is comfortable seating throughout.
Although iconic of the 1970’s, Emera is timeless in her appearance and her excellent seakeeping and heritage offer an attractive package to prospective owners. Twin 1,215hp MTU diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 14 knots topping out at 15 knots and she is fitted with Vosper zero speed stabilisers.
Available to view at anchor during the Cannes and Monaco yacht shows, Emera is now asking €2,900,000 with VAT paid.
