Sovereign motor yacht Mas Grande back on the market
by Chris Jefferies
Sold in March 2009, the 36.91 metre motor yacht Mas Grande is back on the market, listed for sale by Jeff Partin at Superyacht Sales and Charter.
Launched in 2000 by Sovereign Yachts, she was built from a GRP hull and superstructure as part of the Sovereign 120 series and refitted in 2006. Jack Sarin provided the naval architecture and exterior styling, while Pacific Custom Interiors took care of the on-board décor. Accommodation is for ten guests in five staterooms, including a master suite, three double cabins and a twin cabin. Meanwhile, the crew quarters on this yacht for sale allow for a staff of up to seven people.
Her spacious aft deck features plentiful built-in seating, allowing guests to enjoy a light meal al fresco. Moving forward and the refined saloon features cream-coloured upholstery and a formal dining area with room for six guests sat around a circular glass table. Key features include her sundeck, which is sheltered by a built-in hardtop Bimini.
Power comes from a pair of 900hp MTU 16V2000 M90 engines that allow for comfortable cruising at 16 knots and a top speed of 24 knots. When trimmed back to her economic speed of ten knots, she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles, drawing on a total fuel reserve in excess of 30,000 litres.
Recent upgrades include a new Garmin electronics package and a rebuild of the generators in 2015, while her tender was replaced in 2016. Furthermore, she has been equipped with Naiad stabilisers to ensure a smooth cruising experience.
Currently lying in St Petersburg, Florida, Mas Grande is asking $1,995,000.
