The history

Panerai British Classic Week is renowned for attracting some truly historic yachts, and this year's event was no exception.

One of the oldest vessels in this year’s fleet was the 22 metre Bristol Channel pilot cutter Mascotte (pictured above). Built by Thomas Cox in 1904, this former working boat was refitted as a yacht after World War One and has been raced, cruised and chartered in northern Europe since 1994.
