Bering Yachts' 22m B72 explorer yacht delivered

5 March 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

The first unit in Bering Yachts' 22.2-metre explorer series has now been delivered following successful sea trials in Antalya, Turkey.

Named Bering 72, the model is inspired by classic expedition yachts with the Turkish yard developing its design after gathering feedback from the owners and captains of the Bering 65.

The explorer yacht is therefore based on the same technical platform as the B65 and features the same "rugged, expedition-style lines".

Living areas are spread across three decks and include a large saloon and full-beam galley on the main deck. Accommodation is across three cabins and a full-beam master suite forward, though owners can customise the layout of future units to include five or six cabins.

Elsewhere, the yacht features a flybridge wet bar, a large swimming platform on the lower deck and storage for two tenders.

With a 24,000-litre fuel capacity, B72's non-stop range is over 4,000 nautical miles at a cruise speed of eight knots. The yacht can reach a maximum speed of 10 knots, with "noise and vibration almost absent, even at full throttle".

Bering Yachts recently laid the keel of the second B72 following its sale to an American client.
