First Look: Inside the 55 metre Amels Limited Editions 180 Nomad

The Exterior

Nomad's eye-catching bespoke blue colour scheme was created by the owner in collaboration with exterior designer Tim Heywood and the Amels in-house design team. "'Nomad Blue', as I like to call it, is both striking and refreshing, giving the yacht a unique and uplifting presence; conspicuous, yet refined, youthful and confidentially mature," said Heywood.

Amels sales manager Rutger Dolk said "the owner wanted to add his own personality to his creation to perfectly suit and meet his needs for using the yacht as a young family.”

When it came to the interior design of Nomad, the owner opted for California based firm Bonesteel Trout Hall to create custom interiors with in-house Amels specialists.

The Main Deck Saloon Dining Area

"This was our first yacht for this family but importantly, we understood what the look and feel of Nomad should be," said Heidi Bonesteel, co-founder of Bonesteel Trout Hall. "We decided that all the backgrounds should be neutral tones; satin finish sycamore, polished chrome and leather."

The Main Deck Saloon

The main deck saloon includes metal touches, such as Herve van der Stratten bronze lamps. The custom silk rugs were made by Tai Ping.

Owner's Suite

“All the staterooms are very neutral and elegant; satin finishes on the custom wood details, textured grasscloth wallcovering or stitched fabric wallcovering," said Bonesteel.
