Sixth Mulder ThirtySix delivered and named Seaflower

24 July 2023 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Dutch shipyard Mulder has announced the delivery of the sixth unit in its ThirtySix series, following successful sea trials in Scheveningen. Named Seaflower, the 36-metre yacht first hit the water at Mulder's facility in Zoeterwoude in May.

Construction on the aluminium yacht was started on speculation and was sold during the build to a "very experienced and well-known yachtsman," according to the yard. Seaflower is also the first ThirtySix built to IMO Tier 3 requirements, meaning "she adheres to the strictest environmental regulations to date".

The ThirtySix series features a continuous window line leading to a contemporary plumb bow

Similar to previous ThirtySix models, Seaflower features an exterior from British design studio Claydon Reeves with naval architecture courtesy of Van Oossanen Naval Architects. Accommodation is across five cabins, including an owner's cabin, master cabin, and en suite twin and double rooms.

The owner's cabin, located on the main deck forward, is fitted with a private study and dressing area, while the full-beam master cabin has an en suite shower, a separate head and is fitted with large windows port and starboard for ample ocean views and natural light.

Interiors are owed to Vickers Studio and have been designed to meet the requirements of her experienced owners. This includes deep-cut, pile-patterned carpets and white-washed oak with brass trimming. Her most distinctive interior element is the dining room feature wall, created with fabrics in eye-catching reds, yellows and greens.

Solemates, the fifth yacht in the series, was delivered in July 2022

On deck, Seaflower benefits from several spacious convivial areas, including the sofa seating and sunbeds on the bow area and the main deck aft's two dining tables, for shaded recreation close to the water. Her sundeck has an additional dining area and further space for outdoor entertaining.

The 298GT yacht also boasts a folding balcony on the starboard side, as well as a generous beach club to facilitate connection with the water.

Equipped with twin Caterpillar C18 engines, Seaflower can reach a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Seaflower's sistership Solemates will also be attending the Monaco Yacht Show this year

Now delivered, the owners plan to spend Seaflower's first season cruising through the Mediterranean, before making her official debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

The yard has delivered five other ThirtySix yachts to date, including Solemates, with another four units in the series currently under construction, according to BOAT Pro.
