Nautor's Swan reveals first details of ClubSwan 125 series

Finnish sailing yacht specialist Nautor’s Swan has announced that it will be expanding its ClubSwan range with a new 38.1 metre called the ClubSwan 125.

Due to be launched in 2019 for a client that the yard describes as a “knowledgeable and skilled racing owner”, this will become the yard’s largest series yacht overtaking the Swan 115, which has spawned four hulls so far, including Solleone, Shamanna and Highland Fling XV.

Juan Kouyoumdjian will provide both naval architecture and exterior design for the new series and he said: “Each super maxi yacht is unique, but few will go as far as the new ClubSwan 125 to merge style and performance. Below deck you will marvel at the attention to detail and the space, both of which exemplify the experience of being afloat at its best, at the helm you will be immersed in the sensation of sailing the fastest monohull ever conceived.”

Meanwhile, Enrico Chieffi, Nautor’s Swan vice-president and director of ClubSwan Yachts, added that the new design embraces the yard’s heritage as well as looking to the future.

“We have several new projects currently under construction making full use of the skills and knowledge of Nautor’s Boatbuilding Technology Centre,” he revealed. “The ClubSwan 125 [is] evidence that the yard continues to invest in extending its range — both the established Swan Yachts and the new ClubSwan models.”

Further details are few and far between at this stage with the engine installation and total accommodation still unclear. However, the preview images above suggest that she will fly a square-topped racing mainsail with twin helm positions aft of the cockpit.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Finnish yard include the first Swan 95 yacht, Lot 99, which is due to get a public debut at next month’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
