Ramble on Rose arrives for Icon refit

The 60 metre CRN superyacht Ramble on Rose has arrived at Dutch yard Icon Yachts for a winter refit.

The yacht arrived at the Harlingen-based facility in the Netherlands on September 30 and is due to be relaunched on April 1, 2019. The main refit work includes a completely new exterior paint job and various interior improvements, including the installation of a new bridge.

Icon Yachts’ refit project manager Jacob de Boer said, “It is a challenge to do a complete paint job in a short time frame but we have done this before, therefore we are confident we can do a quality job, delivered on time.”

Delivered in 2011, the 60 metre Ramble on Rose was designed by Zuccon International Project, while interior design was handled by Laura Sessa Design. She can accommodate a total of 12 guests while her crew quarters can house a total staff of 14.

It comes as Icon Yachts’ new floating shed nears completion. The extended facility, which has been under construction since July, will measure 130 metres and will increase Icon’s refit capacity by almost 100%.

The yard hopes the new facility will enable it to take on more North European refits. Icon said it expected the new facility to be completed by December 2018.
