Second Numarine 32XP yacht sold to American owner
by Chris Jefferies
The second hull in the Numarine 32XP series of compact explorer yachts has been sold with Numarine USA introducing the buyer. The client is described as “an experienced American owner”.
Styled inside and out by Turkish designer Can Yalman, this 32.5 metre steel-hulled yacht features naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini. As with every Numarine yacht, the second 32XP will feature a heavily customised interior, whilst remaining within the class limit of 300GT.
Key features include the extensive deck spaces, with a cockpit that measures 64 metres square. From here, guests can move indoors to relax in the spacious 48 square metre saloon.
Accommodation is for 12 guests split between six cabins, including a main deck VIP, upper deck owner’s suite and two VIP cabins and two double cabins on the lower deck, all of which come with their own en-suite bathroom. Meanwhile, the crew quarters allow for a maximum staff of five people.
The upper deck is notably spacious for her length, with enough tender storage space for a nine metre RIB, which can be loaded via a built-in crane. A large foredeck seating area brings the total exterior space on the upper deck to 129 square metres.
The whole design is capped off by a 60 square metre flybridge, complete with a 12-person dining table, three couches, two sunpads and a fully-equipped bar area.
Power will come from a pair of 715hp Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines that will allow for a comfortable cruising at 12 knots and a top speed of 14 knots. When trimmed back to her cruising speed of nine knots, the Numarine 32XP boasts a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles, drawing on a total fuel capacity of 26,000 litres.
