Standout Superyacht Galleys

It may not be as glamorous but the galley is just as important as any other premium superyacht feature. BOAT rounds up some of the best galleys in the world, starting with Genesia.

Orange is present in vibrant splashes throughout the 40.25-metre conversion Genesia and has even spread to the galley, which has a pleasant residential feel, using orange Corian to frame Miele appliances.

The galley on board the 55-metre Cynthia was redecorated and fitted with new appliances during the yacht's recent dramatic refit. The galley was decorated with tiles made in Vietnam, blue quartz worktops and flooring by Amtico. It was also fitted with new appliances without changing the layout.

The generous galley on board Silver Fox, the second yacht in the Baglietto T-Line 48 series, was a major selling point for the owner, who lives by the maxim "happy crew, happy guests". The galley has an inviting and homely feel and features a dumb waiter which reaches the upper deck pantry and sun deck.

At 20 square metres, the galley on board the Tankoa superyacht Bintador is “probably the biggest you can find on a 50-metre yacht,” the owner’s project manager, Giancarlo Mussino, said. A central island seats six people. Having a sizeable, sociable galley was a mandatory request from the owner, according to Giuseppe Mazza, sales and business development manager of Tankoa. “She likes to cook and entertain the guests, and there are windows on three sides of the galley, so she can see the crew passing by and part of the guest accommodations.”

The galley on board the first 24.4-metre Sunreef 80 sailing catamaran 7X Split is located down in the port hull and, like the cabins, features greys and deep blues.

The unusual layout on board Roberto Cavalli's 27-metre Freedom sees the full beam galley and dining space located on the lower deck. Cavalli loves to cook himself, so the galley has been made intentionally spacious, with plentiful counter space and a good sound system.

Built by Yachting Developments and delivered in 2018, the 39.5-metre Lanakai features a modern galley on the main deck, as well as a massive stainless-steel aft deck barbecue.
