Third Benetti Mediterraneo 116 yacht Botti launched
by Chris Jefferies
The third hull in the 35.5 metre Mediterraneo 116 motor yacht series has been launched by Benetti and named Botti.
The Italian yard revealed that her streamlined exteriors by Giorgio M Cassetta conceal a bright and comfortable interior, as developed in collaboration with the owner’s chosen design firm Radyca.
Opening up about the décor, Benetti explains that fine fabrics, warm-coloured woodwork and soft lighting all contribute to the convivial atmosphere on board Botti. Key features include a main deck saloon that is split into a comfortable lounge, a formal dining area and an American-style bar.
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests split between five staterooms, including a main deck master suite, two lower deck VIPs and two convertible twin rooms with Pullman berths. Meanwhile, the crew quarters is suitable for a staff of up to seven people.
Power comes from a pair of 1,400hp MAN V12 engines for a top speed of 15 knots. When trimmed back to her cruising speed of ten knots, Botti will boast a 3,200-mile range, drawing on a total fuel capacity of 33,000 litres. What’s more, her electric fin stabiliser system by CMC Marine will ensure a comfortable cruising experience, both underway and at anchor.
Built to RINA standards, Botti features a 7.72 metre beam and naval architecture by Pierluigi Ausonio.
Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 69 metre Hull FB269, another Cassetta design which is due for delivery this summer.
